Sophomore Taylor Ouellette provided the game-winner for TA as she scored her 10th goal of the season with 25:32 left in the game.
Senior Libby Pomerleau dished out the assist, which was the 20th of her career and ties the school record set by Lauren Russell two years ago. The standout currently has 21 goals and nine assists this season.

Sanford 2, Portland 1
The Spartans jumped out to a 2- 0 lead and then held on for a win at Portland.
Kayleigh Cote opened the scoring for Sanford with a goal in the first half and then Marissa Nance scored with 14:44 left in the game to make it 2-0.
Lauren McIntyre scored with 2:10 left for Portland.
Sanford (11-2-1) got five saves from Amber Singleton.
Boys Soccer
Portland 5, Biddeford 2
George Bigeni and Tyler Nagle scored goals for Biddeford, but it wouldn’t be enough for the Tigers as they dropped to 1-10-1 on the year.
Pedro Fonseca scored twice for Portland, which also got goals from Alex Frank, Wade Faria and Erick Molina.
Thornton Academy 3, Deering 2
Simon Trcka scored twice to lead Thornton Academy to their 11th win of the season.
Trcka and Cam Twombly would find the back of the net in the first half as TA took a 2-1 lead into the break.
Following a game-tying goal from Deering, Trcka would use an assist from Twombly to beat the Deering keeper and net the game-winning score in the second half.
Edwin Kayumba and Dalton Moore added assists for TA, which also got three saves from Andrew Coleman.
Wells 1, Traip 1
Wells would take a 1-0 lead on a goal from Alex Pinette, but Traip’s Charlie Driscoll would score the equalizer 12 minutes later – and the two defenses would take over from there.
South Portland 6, Massabesic 0
Massabesic (2-10) trailed 1-0 at the half, but visiting South Portland would pour it on from there.
Charlie Cronin scored three goals to lead South Portland’s attack.
Massabesic goalies Josh Castonguay and Xavier Lundringan combined for 14 saves.
Cheverus 6, Sanford 0
The Spartans would trail by a 2-0 score at the half, but Cheverus would break the game wide open with four more goals in the second half.
Brady Levesque led the way for Cheverus with two goals.
Girls Soccer
Wells 3, Traip 3
Hannah Cottis scored all three goals for the Warriors, but Traip was able to match the standout as the game ended in a tie.
Emma Auclair scored two goals for Traip, which also got a score from Blanca Alonzo.
Biddeford 1, Noble 0
The Tigers got a goal from Peyton Janelle as they took down Noble on Tuesday.
Missy Huot added the assist for Biddeford, which improved to 3-8 with the win.
Kennebunk 4, Poland 0
Four different Kennebunk players beat the Poland goalie during Tuesday’s shutout.
Sierra Tarte, Caitlin Wolff, Lilly Wolff and Leah Bridgham all scored for the Rams, who also got a pair of assists from Hallie Schwartzman.
Volleyball
Thornton Academy 3, South Portland 0
The Golden Trojans won in straight sets, 25-20, 25-17 and 25- 14, to improve to 11-2 on the season.
Julia Chasse led the way for TA with 17 assists and 10 digs. Kylee Austin added 11 kills and two aces and Ashley Howe chipped in with six digs and five kills.
Megan Blanchette also scored eight straight service points to help the Trojans capture the second set, which was once tied at 16-16.
Yarmouth 3, Biddeford 0
The host Tigers battled hard, but dropped three straight sets – 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 – to Yarmouth.
Senior Jocelyn Moody led the way for Biddeford as she finished with 29 digs, 15 kills and six service points.
The Tigers also got 15 assists and nine points from Faith Tourigny, while Kendra Cote added eight kills and four digs and both Julia Murray and Nicole Bradeen added seven points.
Wells 3, Lake Region 2
The Warriors picked up their third win of the season with a five-set victory over Lake Region.
Lake Region opened the match with two straight wins (25-14, 25-14), but it would be all Warriors from there as they won the next three, 25-21, 25-19 and 15-12.
Isabelle Smith led Wells with 15 digs, six kills, one ace and one assists.
Kait Schott added 12 assists and two aces for the Warriors, who also got seven kills, five digs, five blocks and two aces from Halee Ramsdell and five digs and four kills from Alyssa Loukola.
