I ardently support Ron Michaud as the next mayor of Saco.
Ron is best characterized by his integrity, forthrightness, strong work ethic and transparency. He is consistently well prepared, having studied the issues from every perspective. Regardless of their views, he invites all citizens to voice their opinions. Ron does not shy away from difficult issues. In other words, Ron gets things done and treats people with respect along the way.
Ron Michaud brings a long history of involvement and leadership to the city of Saco through his work with both the city government and the school committee. Ron has lived, worked and raised a family in Saco. He has served on various city committees and held several positions during those years, including being the mayor. While serving on the school committee, he was one of the driving and sensible forces in facilitating Saco’s withdrawal from the Regional School Unit.
Saco is in need of a mayor like Ron Michaud who will listen to citizens, help to clarify and set priorities, collect information, and ensure that possible solutions are discussed in public and moved forward to resolution.
Please vote to support Roland “Ron” Michaud for mayor of Saco.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
