Waiting lists for affordable senior housing are long and growing, while Maine’s construction industry continues to struggle to recover from the recession. Maine people can deal with both of these problems at once by voting on for the Senior Affordable Housing Bond, Question 2 on the state ballot. Maine workers building the affordable homes that Maine seniors need seems like the most reasonable use of our state’s bond capacity that I can imagine.
