KENNEBUNK — Kennebunk quarterback Justin Wiggins threw for over 100 yards and ran for 100 more as he led the Rams to a 38-19 win over visiting Noble on Friday night.

Wiggins added two touchdowns to his 228 total yards and Pat Saunders also had a 100-yard rushing performances and a pair of TDs to help the Rams snap a twogame losing streak.

Kennebunk jumped out to a 14-0 lead after the first thanks to an 11-yard scoring run from Saunders and a 28-yard sprint for a TD from Wiggins.

After Noble cut the lead to 14-7, Saunders would score from seven yards out in the second quarter to make it 21-7 at the break.

The Rams would go to the air for their next score as Wiggins hit Dante DeLorenzo on a seven-yard scoring strike to make it 27-7.

The Rams (6-2) would also get an interception return for a touchdown from Jesse Lacasse and a 35-yard field goal from Raheem Tomlinson.

Kennebunk head coach Joe Rafferty was happy to see his team bounce back from the back-to-back losses to Marshwood and Biddeford.

“It makes for a lot better weekend, I know that,” said Rafferty of getting the win. “We know we are going into the playoffs and it’s a case of you just want some momentum behind you going in. It was a great night for us and it being the last regular season home game for seniors made it a lot more exciting as well.”

Rafferty is hoping the tough late season stretch will help the Rams when they open the postseason.

“I hope it definitely does. You know going into the playoffs you’re going to be playing the best teams and we’ve certainly faced some good teams here the last couple weeks and we struggled. You have to play your best when it comes to playoffs. We have to take advantage of some of this momentum and see what happens,” said Rafferty.

Kennebunk should get a home game to start the Class B playoffs next Friday night.
