Bridgette was born in Westbrook on May 30, 1963. She was welcomed into the family of the late Jean and Claire Audet as an infant and later adopted, along with her older sister, Priscilla. Bridgette grew up in Kittery and attended Kittery schools before relocating to the Sanford area.
Bridgette was happiest when she could help others. She was at her best when she worked for Caring Unlimited, which gave her the opportunity to help families in need. Bridgette was a kind and gentle soul who left us too soon and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bridgette is survived by: three children and three grandchildren, Alicia Chick of Lewiston and her daughter Kendall, Jennifer Chick of Sanford and her daughter Kaylee and son Robert, and Barry Chick of Bangor. She is also survived by: siblings, Louise Hamilton of Gorham, Richard Audet of Georgia, Linda Audet of Ohio, Jean Audet of New York, Paul Audet of Eliot, Priscilla Wotton, Rose Fotter of Belgrade Lakes, and Janice Guillemette of Shapleigh and Leonard Daniel.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
