Lost Valley, the Auburn ski resort, has been sold.

The owners posted on their Facebook page Friday that the resort had been sold to Scott Shanaman. The post did not include any details on the sale or information on Shanaman.

The resort has been operating at a loss for years. In September 2014, it turned to a social media crowd-sourcing site to raise money for the 2014-2015 winter’s operations. More than $23,000 was raised and the owners, Lincoln Hayes and Connie King, said they would form a board of directors, close on Mondays and buy energy-saving equipment.

The owners had announced in early October that they planned to reopen for this winter’s season.
