DIXFIELD — Old Orchard Beach made the trek to Dixfield on Friday night looking for an upset win over No. 2 Dirigo in the Class D football playoffs.
The host Cougars had something else in mind as they rolled to a 29-8 win over the No. 7 Seagulls.
Old Orchard Beach trailed by just nine after the opening quarter, but Dirigo would increase the lead to 22-0 at halftime.
Riley Robinson ran for three touchdowns for the Cougars, who will face the winner of No. 3 Lisbon and No. 6 Boothbay next week in the semifinals.
Cody Blanchette scored the lone touchdown for Old Orchard Beach, which finishes the 2015 season with a 2-6 record.
