Office hours

The Town Office, at Mallett Hall, is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday 8:30 a.m.-6:30 and closed Friday. The office will be closed for Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Meetings

A Pownal Planning Board workshop on the back-lot ordinance will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 8 a.m., at Mallett Hall.

The Pownal Board of Selectmen will meet Monday, Nov. 16 and 30, at 7 p.m., at Mallett Hall.

Handcrafts at Blueberry Ridge

Blueberry Ridge Farm, 167 Loring Lane in Pownal, is selling nature-inspired handcrafts on two weekends, Nov. 27-29 and Dec. 4-6, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Items include hand knits, felted items, stained glass and Christmas ornaments, dolls, toys, wall hangings, greens and more. Bradbury Mountain Arts show Nov. 21, 22

The 17th annual Bradbury Mountain Arts Holiday Show & Sale of Fine Art is Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., at Mallett Hall, Route 9 in Pownal center. Artists and artisans will feature painting, sculpture, wood-turning, sailcloth bags, photography, jewelry, pottery, print-making, paper arts and more. Baked goods will be sold by local Girl Scouts. On Sunday, Nov. 15, North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road, will host New Wine in worship at 9 a.m. On Sunday, Nov. 22, the church will host Vicki O’Brian in Worship, also at 9 a.m.

Fuego Diablo hosts its annual holiday sale at 52 Loring Lane in Pownal on Nov. 27-29 and Dec. 4-6, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. Among the handmade gifts are silver jewelry by Karen Gray, original paintings by Michael Morin and Mary Davis, heirloom knitted woolen toys by Kelly Grant, seasonal and everlasting wreaths by Mallory Sweetser, gourmet baked goods from Liz’s Ho-Made and pet grooming innovations from The Coat Hook.

Fuego Diablo will feature its Big Phil’s Kitchen line of hot sauces and preserves along with gluten-free baked goods, colorful folk art, wearable art and more from their studios. Prayer, Praise and Worship, with the Rev. Raymond St. Pierre, is held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., at the North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road. For more information, call St. Pierre at 837-0682 or Lay Leader Deb Larrabee at 240-1637.

North Pownal United Methodist Church worship service is Sunday at 9 a.m., led by the Rev. Raymond St. Pierre. Sunday School for children and adults begins at 10:30 a.m. St. Pierre’s hours are Wednesday from 8 a.m.-noon and by appointment only in the afternoon. Thursdays by appointment only. The First Parish Congregational Church, Route 9, worship service is Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School for all ages is 11 a.m.-noon.
