Amedisys Home Health Care representative DeeDee Grantz will host a Q&A discussion group called “Holiday Stress and Depression” at 3:30 p.m. at Atria Kennebunk. Drop by Goodall Library, 942 Main St., Sanford, 6-7 p.m. for an evening designed for relaxaiton. Folks will learn techniques to help continue the positive benefits of desressing and slowing down. The class will cover such topics as breathing exercises for calming the body and mind, Japanese acupressure for reducing stress, Yoga postures and hand positions for slowing down and learning to be in the present moment, guided imagery, meditation and reflexology to improve sleep and overall health. Folks will will also learn about the foods, herbs and teas that calm, and the healing properties of essential oils.

The Christmas Social for the Daughters of Isabella Circle 828 will be Sunday, Dec. 13 at The Pantry Cafe, 420 Elm St., Biddeford. Social hour is from noon to 1 p.m., BYOB. A buffet luncheon will follow, and there will be door prizes, raffles and games. Bring a $5 gift to swap. Tickets are $20, tip optional. The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, Dec. 9.
