CAPE PORPOISE — Kathy Senese Pleasants, 63 years old, passed away peacefully at her home in Cape Porpoise on Dec. 8, 2015, after a seven-year long battle with lung cancer.

Kathy was born July 3, 1952, a daughter of Jack and Anne Senese. She earned her master’s degree in social work and worked with special needs children at Mildred Day School in Arundel. Kathy was a devout Mormon. She loved her work, her friends and her family.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Senese, in January 2015.

She is lovingly remembered by: her father, Jack Senese; her six children, Damian Treffs of Jackson Heights, New York, Keith Pleasants of Kennebunkport, Michael Pleasants of Charlottesville, Virginia, Mathew Pleasants of Charlottesville, Virginia, Amanda Shropshire of Newnan, Georgia, and Meghan Pleasants of Charlottesville, Virginia; four grandchildren, Thanasi, Andreas, Avery and Aiden; and her greatgrandson, Andreas Jr. She is also survived by: her brother, John Senese III, of Kennebunkport; her sisters, Jane Longden of Concord, Massachusetts, and Hilary Nimons of Redding, Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with Kathy’s family from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 12 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 15 Smith Lane, Saco. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Arundel Cemetery in Kennebunkport.
