BIDDEFORD — Robert R. Nolette, 91, of Biddeford, and Holliston, Massachusetts, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, in Holliston at the home of his son.

He was born Dec. 1, 1924, the son of Omer and Merilda (Dallaire) Nolette and was educated at St. Jospeh’s School.

He served with the U.S 69th Seabees during World War II, first in Europe and later in the Pacific.

On Nov. 25, 1950, he married Theresa LaBrecque at St. Andre’s Church.

Mr. Nolette worked for 25 years with Pepperell Mfg. Co. He also worked for many years with Nichols Mfg. in South Portland, Saco Defense and Saco Tanning. In his retirement, he worked occasionally for Clair Buick in Saco and was a volunteer at La Kermesse Fanco-Americaine Festival in Biddeford for many years. He enjoyed family activities, spending time with his grandchildren, and loved traveling, bowling and playing cards.

Robert had been a long time member of the Fremont Club, a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus and attended St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.

Preceding him in death were: his wife, Theresa Nolette; his brother, Roland Nolette; and three sisters, Anita Lantagne, Jeannette Brochu, and Laura Letendre.

Surviving are: one son, Ronald R. Nolette and his wife Kathy of Holliston, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Paul B. Nolette and his wife Cindy (Marcotte) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Christine Dodd and her husband Joshua of Medway, Massachusetts; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Ryan Dodd, also of Medway, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. To share condolences online, please visit www.HopeMemorial.com.
