NYA names new girls’ lax coach

North Yarmouth Academy has named Molly Climo as its new girls’ lacrosse coach. Climo replaces Lucy Gerrity, who stepped down after two season. Climo is a Massachusetts native, who played at Gould Academy (where she was named All-American) and at Hobart/William Smith, where she still holds records. Climo previously served as an assistant coach at Husson College and has coached with the Maineiax Lacrosse Club in Portland.
“Coach Climo is a great personality who has a solid background in multiple aspects in the sport of lacrosse,” said NYA athletic director Jack Hardy. “She wants for our girls just what we want: to love and enjoy the sport, have fun and understand the hard work and dedication it takes to succeed as an individual and team.”
