Fire crews were able to contain a fire at Irwin Industrial Tool in Gorham Tuesday morning.
The fire at 37 Bartlett Road was reported at 7:09 a.m. by an employee who called 911 to say there was a fire in a ventilation system. The fire was contained after about an hour, but firefighters remained on scene to put out hot spots. Gorham fire officials have not yet determined a cause of the fire, which spread through the duct work to the roof.
The building was evacuated and no one was injured, according to public safety officials.
Irwin Industrial Tool is located in the former American Tool Company building in the town’s industrial park.
