OAKLAND
Transcripts from 911 calls indicate a Maine shooting victim lived for at least 18 minutes after reporting that she and others had been shot during in Oakland.
The Morning Sentinel reports that the victim apparently made four calls to emergency dispatchers over the course of at least 13 minutes.
The newspaper obtained the 911 transcripts under the Maine Freedom of Access Act. The transcripts, which totaled 22 pages, didn’t identify the callers. But police said previously that 28-yearold Amy Derosby dialed 911 after being shot.
Police say Herman Derico killed his girlfriend, Derosby, along with Derosby’s sister and her boyfriend before killing himself.
Police say Derico was “troubled” and had several illegal drugs in his system. He left no note to explain his actions.
