BRUNSWICK — Matt Deveaux and Andrew Eno scored a power-play goal each 1:15 apart early in the second period as the Brunswick High School boys hockey team earned a big 4-2 win over Yarmouth on Wednesday at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

The Dragons improved to 6-5-1 while handing the Clippers just their second loss (7-2).

Down 1-0 after a period, Brunswick jumped ahead on the power play. Jameson Cyr added a secondperiod goal for a 3-1 lead, and Jacob Towle scored six minutes into the third period to give the Dragons a 4-1 edge.

Quinn Solberg had two assists in the win. Nate Granholm and Jacob Doring added a helper each, while netminder Riley Kirk turned aside 23 shots.

Bill Jacobs and Walter Conrad had a goal each for Yarmouth. Goaltender Dan Latham had 21 saves.

Brunswick visits York on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

EAGLES 6
MARANACOOK 3

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/ Morse traveled to Kents Hill to play host Maranacook/ Winthrop Wednesday night, and the Eagles used four second-period goals to take the victory.

The Eagles improved to 4-4 and hosts Lawrence/ Skowhegan on Saturday at Watson Arena. Face-off is slated for 6:30 p.m.

Mark Abreu paced the visitors with a goal and two assists. Ryley Austin scored two goals, and Tyler Halls added a goal and an assist. Also scoring for the Eagles were Noah Austin and Jason Magno, while Steven Schuman and Austin Fournier chipped in with an assist each.

Netminder Cade Charron made 14 saves to earn the victory.

The Hawks were led by Nick Bowie, who scored twice and added an assist. Also scoring was Austin Jones, and Bailey Baxter had an assist in the losing effort.

Maranacook/Winthrop’s Brandon Baxter took the loss, making 22 saves on 27 shots. Eli Bulber came in for relief of Baxter and made 10 saves on 11 shots.

The Eagles finished 1- for-3 on the power play and killed off all three Hawks power-play opportunities.

Girls

AUBURN — Rayna Sage, Jenna Brooks and Tessa Cassidy each scored a goal as Brunswick skated to a 3-3 deadlock with Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland at Norway Savings Bank Arena.

Three times the Dragons, 7-6-1, held one-goal leads only to see the Red Hornets battle back to tie the contest.

In overtime, the hosts outshot Brunswick, 6-1, but Dragons netminder Jordan Van Savage turned all the shots away, finishing with 30 saves.

Angel Drouin scored the game-tying goal for the Red Hornets (7-5-3), with Haley Frohlich and Madison DeRosa adding a goal each.

Sarah Hammond had 15 saves in goal for the Red Hornets.

Brunswick hosts St. Dom’s on Friday at Watson Arena at 3:15 p.m.

MTA/ MORSE 0

At Watson Arena, Isabelle Frenette netted a pair of goals as the Saints captured a win over Mt. Ararat/Morse, which fell to 1-13 and hosts Greely on Saturday at 8:45 p.m.

Kallie Samson, Emma Therriault, Lexi Kesaris, Christina Cornelio and Bugsy Hammerton added a goal each for St. Dom’s (10-1).

Peyton Winslow turned aside 10 shots in the Saints’ goal, while Eagles netminder Sydney McLure had 44 stops.
