FREEPORT — Old Orchard Beach pulled away after a close first quarter for a 53-23 girls high school jayvee girls basketball win over Freeport on Wednesday.
The Falcons trailed 12-9 after one, but the Seagulls took over the rest of the way. Kaitlyn Cote had a game-high 11 points for OOB.
Alex Koenig and Camryn Pasquale had seven points apiece for Freeport. Abby Turner played a solid all-around game for the Falcons and added four points.
At the free-throw line, the Falcons made 3-of-9 and the Seagulls 7-of-15.
