BATH — The Teen Library Council of Patten Free Library is now accepting submissions for its second annual student art show. The exhibition will be held in the Library’s second floor Community Room during the month of April.

“We were very excited by the student response last year,” said Jack Martin, a Morse High School senior and Teen Library Council member. “We had almost 30 pieces in the show, representing a variety of media, with artists ranging in age from 12 to 17. We hope to have an even bigger selection of works and artists this year.”

The council will accept original submissions in any medium, including drawings, paintings, sculpture, original cartoons and animé, through March 30. Artists should be in grades seven through 12. Entries may be submitted to the Patten Free Library Information Desk. The council will not accept submissions of “fan art,” but original cartoons and comic strips will be considered. The April exhibition will be free and open to the public during regular library hours. The council will also host an opening reception for the artists on April 8.
