BOSTON (AP) — A former student at a high school in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood was arrested after he brought an unloaded handgun with him when he trespassed on school grounds.
Police were called around 11:59 a.m. Wednesday after school officers observed the 17-year-old boy on English High School property.
School police detained the boy in the principal’s office and questioned him on why he was at the school. Boston officers searched his backpack and found the gun.
The teen, whose identity wasn’t released, was charged with trespassing and unlawfully possessing a firearm.
