BIDDEFORD — Friends got together and put on the eighth rock ‘n’ roll oldies dance on Oct. 17 at the Eagle’s Hall in Biddeford. The dance benefited the Ronald McDonald House of Portland.

Tickets were limited to 250 and sold out. The event raised $5,400. To date, the dances have raised more than $25,800 for the Rondal McDonald House.

Organizers would like thank the following businesses and people who donated to the event: George’s Sandwich Shop, Lowe’s in Scarborough, Champagne Energy, China House, OOB Campground, Hansons Hardware, Vic McCollott, Lou’s Auto, Landry’s Shop and Save, Seafood Center, All Day Breakfast, Lucky Loggers, Strike Zone, The Brunswick, Hannaford’s, Ray’s Market, Kerrymen Pub, Traditions, Seasalt Lobster, Jimmy the Greeks, Pine Tree Seafood, Duffy’s OOB, Ace Hardware in Scarborough, Surf 6, Shaw’s, Pizza Hut, Don Cantara, Dunkin Donuts in Kennebunk, Dave’s Sub Shop, Tim Hortons, Dickerson’s Candy, TJ’s Pizza, Good Thyme Cafe, Bentley’s, Litchfields, Maine Diner, Federal Jacks, M/M Richie, The Eagle’s Biddeford, and all the people who came to the dance.

The Eagle’s Hall on Birch St. in Biddeford has already been booked for the next dance, which is a Valentine’s dance on Feb. 13. The dance will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight and feature rock ‘n’ roll from the ‘50s through the ‘80s, with videos provided by Oldies ‘R’ Us.
