BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College women’s lacrosse team is ranked 10th in the Division III Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Preseason Poll released on Monday.

The Polar Bears, who finished the 2014-15 campaign with a 16-4 record, advanced to the NESCAC final and reached the third round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament last spring.

Bowdoin is one of seven NESCAC teams ranked in the top-20, behind only Trinity (No. 2) and Middlebury (No. 4) in the rankings.

Bowdoin will open its 2016 campaign on the road at 12th-ranked Amherst on March 5.
