
In 1969 he was married to Cynthia Cleaves Girardin.
David had a career as co-owner and manager of Pennells Apparel for 42 years retiring in 2013.
He was a 4th Degree member of the Brunswick Council Knights of Columbus since 1965, and a past Grand Knight.
David is predeceased by his mother and father, a brother, Robert Girardin, and a niece, Cheryl Simonson Grimmel.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Girardin; his children, Jeffrey Girardin and spouse Jennifer, Johanna Girardin Lloyd and spouse Edward, and Heather Girardin Picard and spouse Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Emily Girardin, Nate Girardin, Jordan Lloyd, Mark Lloyd, Elle Picard, and Bryce Picard; his siblings, Doris Simonson, Donald Girardin and wife Connie, Dennis Girardin and wife Dorna, Theresa Houston and husband Bill, and widow of Robert Girardin, Sheila; and 12 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place on Friday February 12, 2016 at 10:00am at the First Parish Church in Brunswick. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Brunswick. Interment will be in the spring.
