AUBURN — It was a goaltender’s nightmare as goals were aplenty Wednesday night at Norway Savings Bank Arena.
But, Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/ Morse out-gunned the Leavitt Hornets in the third period to escape with an 11-8 victory.
The Eagles’ (9-5-1) top line of Mark Abreu (two goals, four assists), Noah Austin (five goals, assist) and Tyler Lacascio (two goals, two assists) continued their torrid steak as of late, accounting for nine of the 11 goals for the visitors.
The defensive pairing of Ryley Austin and Tyler Halls completed the scoring with a goal apiece, with Ryley Austin also notching an assist. Bradley Boulet chipped in with two assists, and Cam Grant assisted on one as well.
Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/ Morse goaltenders Parker Lacey and Cade Charron split duties in net, combining for 14 saves on 22 shots to earn the win.

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/ Morse returns to Norway Savings Bank Arena on Saturday at 7:10 p.m. to face Edward Little in a key Class A North matchup. The Eagles trail the Red Eddies by 14 points for the sixth and final playoff spot in Class B North.
