FREEPORT — The Lake Region girls jayvee basketball team prevailed, 52-35, over Freeport in a high school contest on Tuesday.
The Falcons kept it close, trailing by just eight points at the half.
Laker Melissa Bonefant had a game-high 20 points, while Aisley Sturk chipped in 10.
Alexa Koenig led the Falcons with 15 points, followed by Ireland Hall with eight points, five blocked shots and two steals.
At the free-throw line, Freeport finished 8-of-17, while Lake Region was 2-of- 5.
