Maine State Police have arrested the boyfriend of a woman shot to death in a Bath shopping center parking lot on Nov. 16, 2015.
Dylan Grubbs, 23, of Thomaston, was charged with manslaughter following his indictment by the Sagadahoc County grand jury on Thursday.
According to a press release issued by Steve Mc- Causland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, Grubbs also was indicted on a charge of possessing a firearm by a prohibited person. He was arrested at his home on Booker Street in Thomaston mid-afternoon and taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset. His first court appearance on the indictments will be determined today.
Grubbs’ girlfriend, 22- year-old Chelsea Jones, also of Thomaston, was shot in the head while she sat in the front passenger seat of their car in the parking lot of Shaw’s Supermarket. The two had driven to the shopping center to meet a prospective buyer for her handgun, a 9mm Taurus.
Grubbs was showing the gun outside the car when it fired.
