WINSLOW — Freshman Noah Austin scored 15 seconds into overtime as Mt. Ararat/ Lisbon/ Morse came back from a 3-1 third period deficit to beat Lawrence/Skowhegan, 5-4 at Sukee Arena Wednesday night in boys high school hockey action.

The Eagles closed their season with an impressive 11-6-1 record despite missing out on the playoffs.

Austin led the Eagles with two goals and two assists. Mark Abreu added two goals and a helper, while linemate Tyler Lacascio picked up two assists. Senior Austin Fournier scored in his final game, while Cam Grant, Nick Austin and Bradley Boulet each picked up an assist. Goaltender Cade Charron earned the win with 11 saves on 15 shots.

Rodney Bloom paced the Bandits (4-13-1) with a hat trick, while Gunner Hann added a goal and two assists. Lawrence/ Skowhegan net minder Curtis Martin was solid despite the loss, making 33 saves on 38 shots.

The Eagles finished 2 for 10 on the power play, while the Bandits were 1 for 8.

Jack Saffin put the host Rangers ahead late in the third period for a Class B South win over Brunswick, which finished its regular season with a 9-8-1 mark.

Played at the Family Ice Center in Falmouth, the game was scoreless through a period. Ryan Megathlin gave Greely (6-12) a 1-0 lead nine minutes into the second frame. Nathan Gervais and Colby Williams assisted.

Brunswick answered less than a minute later when Jacob Towle lit the lamp.

Riley Kirk had 12 saves in the loss, while Josh Lawless turned aside 25 shots for Greely.

The Dragons have advanced to the Class B South quarterfinals. An opponent, date and time will be announced.
