AUGUSTA (AP) — An Augusta woman faces charges after police allege she sexually abused a 14-year-old boy.
Loni Ingalls appeared in court via video on Monday at the Capital Judicial Center. The 36-year-old Ingalls was arrested Friday on charges of sexual abuse of a minor.
Authorities say the abuse occurred in November and December 2015 and January 2016 in Ingalls’ apartment. Police say the offenses were reported by the boy’s mother.
Ingalls is also accused of selling drugs to two people under the age of 18, one of whom authorities say is the victim.
Ingalls is being held on $3,000 bail. She is due in court May 10. The Kennebec Journal reports that she was accompanied Monday by attorney Stephen Bourget.
