CAPE ELIZABETH – Elaine Carpenito died Feb. 15. She was born in Boston, a daughter of Frank and Louise Page. After high school, Carpenito took a job at a Boston bank, where she met her future husband of 63 years, Joseph Carpenito Jr.

The couple moved to Cape Elizabeth in 1962, and remained members of the community for the rest of their lives.

Carpenito was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put her children first, and supported, encouraged and loved them in every way possible. She also had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances from her days as a teller at Key Bank, to her 20-year tenure as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and her regular Friday afternoon get-togethers with friends.

Elaine is survived by her children, Joseph J. Carpenito and Judith Carpenito, and her grandson, Joseph D. Carpenito.

Services were private and limited to immediate family.
