It was a pleasure to read Jonathan Crimmins’ excellent commentary about the Brunswick Naval Museum in Feb. 24’s Times Record. He did a fine job of explaining the importance of the Museum and Memorial Gardens to the Midcoast community.
There are a few things that I’d like to add. Currently, the Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 1-4 p.m. on Sundays. It will also be open at other times for group tours by request. We’d especially like to have youth groups visit us, but all are welcome. Call (207) 837-6511 for a private group tour. I also recommend our web site at brunswicknavalmuseum.org. See you at the Museum.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
