Ronald Paul Roy, beloved husband of Christine Roy, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 1, 2016. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 22, 1945. Ron served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for the US Post Office in Springfield, MA and then retired with Christine to Brunswick, Maine.

Ron is survived by his wife and his devoted children and their partners, Briana Roy and Peter Ferony, Christian Roy and Ari Choquette and Jeffrey Roy and his wife Christiana, and granddaughter, Sierra. He will also be dearly missed by Christine’s daughters Elizabeth and her husband Jay, Sarah and her husband Chad and their little son Jackson who will miss playing with his Grampy.

Ron also leaves three sisters, Arlene, Rachel, Ellen and a brother Gary along with several nieces and nephews.

His greatest joys came from spending time with family and friends. He loved to socialize and took every opportunity to make new friends. One of his most pleasurable hobbies was playing ping pong at People Plus. Playing up until the day he died.

A special thank you to the Brunswick Emergency Response Team.

Services will be held on Friday, March 11th at 1pm at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME 04330. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Disabled Veterans Association would be appreciated.
