SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. — The Bates College women’s tennis team capitalized on victories in four out of six singles matches to hold off Mount Holyoke College for a 6- 3 win on Saturday afternoon at the Kendall Fieldhouse Courts.
The Bobcats are now 2-2 on the season, while the Lyons slipped to 8-5 overall.
Former Brunswick High School standout Maisie Silverman teamed with Kate Rosenthal at No. 2 doubles for an 8-2 Bates win.
Silverman later bested Ayame Yazawa at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
