LEWISTON — This past weekend, the Bates College women’s tennis team swept each set in a 9- 0 non- conference victory over Colby- Sawyer College in Merrill Gym.
Sophomore Maisie Silverman of Brunswick posted a 6- 2, 6- 1 victory over Ashley Ramsay in singles, and also teamed up with junior Kate Rosenthal for an 8- 1 win in doubles.
Bates opens New England Small College Athletic Conference play on Saturday, at Middlebury, 5 p.m.
