TOPSHAM

A spaghetti supper is scheduled for Saturday night to benefit a Topsham man who was involved in a crash on slush covered roads in Topsham in January.

The dinner will start at 5 p.m. in the exhibition hall at the Topsham Fairgrounds.

The event will benefit Stanley Williams, of Anytime Wrecker Service, who has been out of work since his wrecker was totaled in a crash in January.

Topsham police reported after the crash that Williams swerved to avoid a car that lost control on the slush-covered Route 24 and crossed the center line. The wrecker hit ledge causing it to flip onto its side while the car continued on. Williams and his son Randy, who was in the passenger seat, were both taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

Williams’ family has been experiencing health problems according to the announcement about the supper.

“Join us for a community dinner to help lift Stan up,” it states.
