McArthur Library, 270 Main St., Biddeford, is hosting a Simons & Goodwin concert at 2 p.m. Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin will perform their particular brand of acoustic music with intricate arrangements, tight expression and beautiful harmonies. To kick off Biddeford’s third annual Restaurant Week, a Community Soup-er will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Pepperell Center, 40 Main St. The event will feature soups from 12 local restaurants and ceramic bowls made by Biddeford fifth-graders. Cost is $10 per person; an additional $5 buys a bowl. All proceeds go to local food pantries.
