SEN. ANGUS KING, I-Maine, was the keynote speaker Friday during a celebration marking the 40th anniversary of People Plus. According to People Plus, more than 120 members took part in the event, which recapped the organization’s history. Founded as a senior center in 1976, People Plus is now an organization that includes the Brunswick Area Teen Center and is committed to “intergenerational community participation and support.”
