In Thursday’s Journal Tribune, I revealed the top 16 picks of my 2016 NFL Mock Draft 1.0, here are the remaining picks.
17. Atlanta: Darron Lee (OLB, Ohio State)- The Falcons drafted Vic Beasley in the first round last year, Atlanta will continue to improve this young defense.
18. Indianapolis: Cody Whitehair (OG, Kansas State)- The Colts’ defense improved in 2015, and Indy still boasts an impressive offensive lineup. A guard will help keep Andrew Luck on the field.
19. Buffalo: Noah Spence (DE, Eastern Kentucky)- Wide receiver is a possibility, but with Rex Ryan running the show, the Bills will likely seek a defensive stud.
20. New York Jets: A’Shawn Robinson (DT, Alabama)- The Jets addressed multiple needs so far in free agency, and with the many economic uncertainties of this talented line, an interior playmaker makes sense.
21. Washington: Robert Nkemdiche (DT, Ole Miss)- Despite off-field issues, Nkamdiche should be a first round pick and Washington is seeking added talent on defense.
22. Houston: Corey Coleman (WR, Baylor)- With the newly-signed Brock Osweiler, Houston will certainly be on the lookout for a second receiver behind DeAndre Hopkins.
23. Minnesota: Laquon Treadwell (WR, Mississippi)- The Vikings cut Mike Wallace, Treadwell has become one of the top receiving prospects in the draft.
24. Cincinnati: Josh Doctson (WR, TCU)- Cincinnati lost both Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu, the Bengals will need to fill the void with an NFL-ready wideout like Doctson.
25. Pittsburgh: Alexander Mackensie (CB, Clemson)- Pittsburgh boasted one of the best rushing defenses in the league last year, however the Steelers were blown out against multiple offenses downfield. MacKensie will provide them with a steady outside defender.
26. Seattle: Jason Spriggs (OT, Indiana)- Although Russell Wilson adapted to a struggling line last year, the Seahawks need depth for their front five… Spriggs has become a coveted lineman in the 2016 draft.
27. Green Bay: Jarran Reed (DT, Alabama)-Green Bay’s offense will be high-flying, especially with the return of Jordy Nelson, plus B.J. Raji is stepping out for a year. The Packers will be looking to add help on the defensive line.
28. Kansas City: Will Fuller (WR, Notre Dame)- Jeramy Maclin was successful in the Kansas City attack last year, however the Chiefs will be looking to add talent on the outside for Alex Smith.
29. Arizona: Leonard Floyd (OLB, Georgia)- Coming off an impressive season, the Cardinals have few holes. The Cardinals were inconsistent with their pass rush, so adding someone as talented as Floyd makes sense.
30. Carolina: Kevin Dodd: (DE, Clemson)- Yes, Charles Johnson is returning and Kony Early flashed in the Super Bowel… However the Panthers will likely want more bodies on the defensive line.
31. Denver: Germain Ifedi (OT, Texas A&M)- At this point in the draft, a high-caliber quarterback will be hard to find. The Broncos will focus on protecting which ever quarterback they begin the season with.
NOTE: New England will forfeit a first round pick due to the Deflategate Scandal
