AUGUSTA — Two bald eagles locked talons in a street fight Tuesday afternoon, drawing the attention of police and onlookers on Arsenal Street.
The eagles, fighting over territory, drew a response from Francois Roodman, animal control officer, and game warden David Ross, according to a post from the Augusta Police Department on its Facebook page.
Roodman and Ross used blankets to separate the two eagles, which were later seen flying over the Augusts Arsenal, according to police.
