GRAY (AP) — Maine authorities say two people are in custody in connection with the robbery of narcotics from a pharmacy in Gray.
The Cumberland County Sheriff ’s office says 19-year-old Shawn Small, of New Gloucester, and 34-year-old Sarah Leigthon, of Gray, were arrested at an Auburn apartment Friday afternoon.
They are charged with robbery in connection with the theft Thursday of an undisclosed amount of narcotics from the Ride Aid pharmacy in Gray.
The Portland Press Herald reports that sheriffs say Small presented an employee with a note demanding drugs. They say the note said he had a gun, but no weapon was displayed.
Authorities say Leighton drove him to and from the pharmacy.
Both are being held on $25,000 bail. It was not immediately known if they have lawyers.
