BIDDEFORD — Korinne Bohunsky tallied four goals as the University of New England defeated Gordon College, 9-7, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s lacrosse match played Wednesday night at the Big Blue Turf.
UNE (6-4, 2-1 CCC) won for the fourth time in five starts, while the Fighting Scots (3-6, 2-1) saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
Bohunsky had a monster game for the winners, adding five ground balls, five draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers to her team-high total of four goals.
Former Freeport High School standout Jocelyn Davee and Katie Cawley each contributed a pair of goals for UNE, while Nicole Carvalho rounded out the Nor’easters’ scoring.
UNE will play another CCC game Saturday, heading to Rhode Island to face Salve Regina University at noon.
