AWS celebrates volunteer appreciation

In recognition of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, the Animal Welfare Society would like to send out a special thanks to the many volunteers who assist them throughout the shelter and make their work possible.

“Cleaning, walking dogs, filing paperwork, manning events, aiding visitors, and more, there as so many things that volunteers do for us. Last year they amassed over 11,000 hours of service, an astonishing number. We appreciate every moment, not just during this week, but throughout the entire year.”
