
He was born in Sanford on Aug. 2, 1927, a son of the late Adelard and Blanche (Moore) Lamontagne.
He retired from Tenneford Weaving after many years of service with the company, and was a member of the Maine Obsolete Automobile League (MOAL).
He is survived by: his wife of 66 years, Yvette (Gagnon) Lamontagne; five children, Michael Lamontagne and his wife Linda of Sanford, Denis Lamontagne of Sanford, Susan Thibeault and her husband Richard of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Claire Bonti and her husband Anthony of Sanford, and Chris Lamontange of Sanford; five grandchildren, Kevin, Stephen and Patrick Lamontagne, Sarah Miller, and Krystal Bonti; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Chloe and Owen Lamontagne, and Everett Miller; a brother, Gerard Lamontagne and his wife Sally; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Lamontagne.
Visiting hours will be 2-4 p. m. Sunday, April 17, at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday, April 18. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
