TOPSHAM
The Topsham Planning Board has three public hearings scheduled for its 7 p.m. meeting tonight at the municipal building.
The first hearing is for a proposed conditional use permit application submitted by Verizon Wireless for a proposed antenna installation on an existing building located at 49 Topsham Fair Mall Road.
A public hearing is also scheduled for Rick Pontes’ proposed construction of a 90-foot-by-97-foot boat building at Pontes Marine Services, located at 227 Lewiston Road.
The third hearing is for Topsham Housing Authority’s proposal to build two buildings to create eight new residential rental units at 37 Pleasant St.
The board will also review Highland Green’s sketch subdivision plan for nine single family units — part of its Phase 3 subdivision plan.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
