Paso Robles, CA — Alice Dunning Lewis, 72, of Paso Robles, CA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 26, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Lewis was born in April of 1943 in Lynn, Massachusetts, and had just recently relocated with her husband to Paso Robles.

Alice worked in Information Services for about twenty years starting out at N.E.T & T in Portland and Bath, Maine, Vandenberg AFB, City of Ventura, CA and the County of Ventura, CA., L.L. Bean in Freeport, Maine and the Brunswick Times Record. She Attended the University of Rhode Island and Casco Bay College. She and her husband resided in California, Arizona, New York, North Carolina and Maine, with Maine always being home.

Alice enjoyed working with crafts of all kinds, especially knitting and counted cross stitch, traveling to the Caribbean to snorkel, but mostly visiting her grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her husband of 46 years, Harold Lewis; her daughter Keri Minard (Matthew) of Ohio; son Robert Lewis (Jaime Lewis) of Los Osos; sister Carol Storey (Harland) of Maine; grandchildren Madeline Minard, Finnegan Lewis and Ella Lewis; sister-in-law Dolores Parker (John) of Oxnard; and brother-in-law Alton Lewis (Virginia) of Ventura.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Dunning, Jesse Dunning Sr. Thurlow Dunning; and sister Mary Jane Krause.

A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church, 185 Main Street, Freeport, Maine on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
