KENNEBUNK — The Town of Kennebunk plans to form a committee on aging, and is seeking volunteers to join.
The mission of the group is to gather information about the town’s senior residents and about such topics as senior housing, recreation centers for seniors, nursing care, medical services and more. The group will also establish a liaison with the town’s staff and other committees.
Anyone interested in being considered for this committee should fill out a committee volunteer form. Forms are available at the Town Manager’s Office, located on the second-floor Town Hall lobby, and on the town’s website at kennebunkmaine.us/committees.
The deadline for submitting forms is May 18.
All applicants should also attend a 15-minute meeting at 6:15 p.m. May 24 on the third floor of Town Hall.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
