website live

The nonprofit Freeport Arts & Cultural Alliance has launched a new “virtual kiosk” to provide a portal to the local arts and cultural scene. The website, www.FreeportArtsAndCulture.org, as well as social media presence and emailed newsletters will provide information about arts and cultural events and activities; offer directories of artists, cultural groups, venues, festivals, businesses and organizations; and, organizers hope, facilitate conversation about the needs and aspirations of the local arts and cultural sector.

A key feature of the website is a searchable calendar of activities ranging from theatrical performances at Freeport Performing Arts Center to history exhibits at Freeport Historical Society to art classes offered by RSU 5 Community Programs and more. In addition, site visitors can browse directories of individuals, organizations and businesses engaged in cultural activity.
