BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School eighth-grade baseball team was in recent action.
In an 11-2 win over rival Bath, pitcher Coenradt Taylor earned the win, combining with relievers Trey Mckenzie and Liam Hemberger on 13 strikeouts and six hits. The trio did not issue a walk.
Cam Hathaway drove in a run with a single in the fifth for the Huskies, while Adam Nussbaum and Matty Laforge drove in runs.
For Bath, Logan Pelletier and Asa Hogden had two hits each.
Brunswick fell to Traip Academy, 6-0. Allen Peabody went the distance in the win with 11 strikeouts, two walks and two hits allowed.
Jack Lowell and Henry Burnham each had a hit for Brunswick (1-2). Noah Goddard went five innings on the mound on three hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
Defensively, the Huskies were led by Taylor and Laforge.
