LEWISTON — The Bath Middle School track team competed against three squads at Lewiston High School on Wednesday.
Both the Destroyer boys and girls finished fourth, but had several solid performances.
In the girls meet, Hannah Nelson won the 1,600-meter run in 6:29.30 and captured the 800in2:59.94.TheBath4x400 relay team was tops in 5:06.18, while Nichole Brazee was second in the pole vault (4-06) and runner-up in the discus (61-03). Rylie Cowette also claimed a second place, leaping 12-03 in the long jump.
Ben Brewer won an event for Bath in the boys meet, capturing the pole vault with a vault of 7-06.
Second-place finishes for the Destroyer boys were Taylor Freeman in the 800 race/walk (4:43.70), Finn Thelan in the 1,600(5:44.85),the4x400relay (4:38.78) and William Carrolton in the shot put (34-08).
