SACO — Michelle Noella Marraty, 74, of Saco, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at St. Andre’s Health Care in Biddeford.

The daughter of Jules and Cecile (Delorge) Baillargeon, she was born in Biddeford on Christmas day in 1941. She had been a member of Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco, where she sang in the church choir.

Michelle had a very aggressive form of Parkinsons, with which she dealt with courage and grace. Being a lifelong sports enthusiast made her situation especially difficult. Michelle was a woman of strong faith, but was also very inquisitive.

She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1960, and maintained lifelong friendships with many of her classmates. She later earned her bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College in Boston.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Sisters for 17 years, serving as a teacher and a religious education instructor. After leaving the order, she was employed in insurance and retail sales.

She married James Marraty of Calais and Derry, New Hampshire. They lived in Florida for many years before returning to Merrimack, New Hampshire.
