BRUNSWICK — Paul Arthur Steadman, age 76, died Sunday, May 8 at Mid Coast Senior Health Center. He was born April 2, 1940 in Freeport, the son of William and Geneva Doyle Steadman.

He attended Freeport Schools and graduated from Freeport High School in 1960. He attended business college in Portland, but left to join the U.S. Marine Corps. After and honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he worked in various shoe shops in Freeport and Brunswick. He worked in the tin shop and stores department at Bath Iron Works for 10 years.

Paul loved all sports, coaching both baseball and basketball teams. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Masons.

He is survived by a son, Gary Steadman of Livermore Falls, a brother, Phillip Steadman of Brunswick, a step-brother, Edwin Williams of Unity, 5 grandchildren, Jamison, Caleb, Tyler, Cameron, and Destiny, and several cousins.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 12 from 4-6 PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick where a funeral Service will be held Friday May 13 at 1PM. Burial in Webster Cemetery, Freeport, will be held at a later date.
