GARDINER
The Morse High School boys lacrosse team fell to Gardiner in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play, 16-6, on Wednesday.
The Shipbuilders fell to 1-6 despite Declan Hall’s three goals and nine saves from goaltender Sebastian Tibbetts.
Michael Poirier paced Gardiner (3-4) with five goals, while Logan Clark and Matt Boynton chipped in a hat trick each.
Morse is slated to host Massabesic on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Girls lacrosse
WELLS — Lindsey Cartmell scored three goals to lift Freeport to an 11-8 Western Maine Conference win over Wells on Wednesday.
Courtney Broderick added a goal and four helpers for the Falcons (2-3), while Lily Johnston had two goals and two assists.
Freeport netminder Sam Jordan turned away seven shots for the win.
Aimely Michaud-Nolan scored four goals for Wells (1-3), which rallied late from an 11-5 deficit with three consecutive goals.
Freeport visits Cony Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
