TOPSHAM — Blair Kopp struck out eight in going the distance as the Mt. Ararat High School jayvee baseball team downed Skowhegan, 4- 2, recently.
Gideon Wheeler, Ryan Glass and Ethan Boyko led the Eagles’ offense. Mt. Ararat hitters walked eight times, with Cole Bryant receiving four free passes and scoring two runs.
In recent action, the Eagles rolled to an 8-3 win over Lawrence.
Cam Grant struck out eight and allowed six hits in his complete-game win, while Kevin Giroux and Glass each drove in a pair of runs.
Mt. Ararat is 4-1.
